Hello! Tell us about yourself?
Hello! I’m a Scottish comedian from Glasgow, I’m also in the top 0.1% of twitch streamers worldwide if that means anything to you.
I’ve won awards for comedy and travelled all over the world doing it, live stand up is my favourite thing to do. Which is lucky.
Tell us all about your show!
It’s about an old friend who came very close to ruining a huge risk that I took, and also about how I have a bad heart. Also there will be eight minutes of holiday photos.
How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?
Well, the heart condition I have is called Long QT syndrome, which is otherwise known as Sudden Death Syndrome.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
I always look forward to watching Christopher Macarthur Boyd, Marc Jennings, Stephen Buchanan, Stuart MacPherson, Amy Matthews, Susan Riddle, Liam Withnail, Amelia Bayler, Krystal Evans, Marjolein Robertson….honestly just every cool Scottish based act.
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
Yeah I’ve done it a few times, my main pieces of advice would be…..If you’re new, go hang out in the bars and meet people. But if you’re not, go home and relax.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
I’ll drive from my house near Glasgow, find somewhere to park and maybe do a couple of spots…then I’ll do do my show and hang out in the Monkey Barrel bar for an hour before driving home and doing a twitch stream.
What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?
To sit on a stoop outside monkey barrel and talk to your friends walking past, many good times can be had on a stoop.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
In the assembly gardens they have this dumpling stall that absolutely rips. Last year I also got a macaroni near Gilded, it was £9 but it was class.
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
When the show goes well and you get to say thanks to everyone on the way out.
Top tips for travelling around the Fringe and getting to shows on time?
Figure out the little alleyways of Edinburgh, dont breathe through your nose though.
What would be your top three items every performer must take to the fringe?
Hand sanitizer, a sense of style, clown repellent
What’s the secret to successful flyering?
finding someone who’s good at it and paying them to do it for you.
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
they can follow me on Insta @roscomcclelland or on twitch @rosco
And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
Faith moves mountains
