Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Linder Avenue Band

Tell us about:

Your latest single you have released:

My latest single is called “Someone Out There.” I’ve noticed that while we may live in an era of unprecedented connectivity, many people feel more disconnected than ever before. I dedicated the song to anyone who is looking for love or looking for love again in the modern age. You may have asked yourself, is there “Someone Out There?”

Your favourite lyric in this song:

The lyrical concept I had for Someone Out There is the main character, so to speak, is having a conversation with themselves about the difficulties in finding that special someone. Getting lost in the crowd, the hesitancy one may have about being emotionally vulnerable. The first verse is “A face in the crowd seen but unseen. Is my head in the clouds are things what they seem.” “Don’t wanna make a mistake, skies are cloudy with a chance of heartache.”

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

There is a song on my debut EP, “Linder Avenue” called “She Doesn’t See Me.” It is a light-hearted toe tapper about the tribulations of relationships inspired by the hilarious SNL skit with Tom Hanks and Jon Lovitz, “Girl Watchers.”

Your favourite song to play live:

The Linder Ave Band is a studio project. I do not have a touring band.

Your most emotional track:

A song I am currently writing, and have been writing for years, is a song about a lost love. I lost my childhood sweetheart to an illness. The song is titled “Me Without You.” It has been an emotional struggle to finish this song because it’s so real to me.

Dream collaboration:

I am a singer, songwriter who plays guitar and I have assembled local Las Vegas musicians, as well as musicians from Chicago, to record with to bring my writing alive. The musicians who played on my sessions are outstanding players and singers and they have made their own creative contributions to the tracks. https://linderave.com/the-musicians

Describe your fans in three words:

Nostalgic, Discerning, Introspective

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

A list of songs I wish I had written would be diverse and long. Just about anything by The Beatles. “Go All The Way” by the Raspberries.

What we can look forward to from your band this year:

“Midnight Mischief” came out on June 7th, is a song about the Las Vegas Strip. Although the song could be relatable to any hotspot in any city. I think this song captures all the power pop melodic rock elements that are associated with the Linder Ave Band.
