Week 34 – Best Day Of Your Life And Why?

Meeting Matt Skiba and Mark Hoppus

One of the most surreal days of my life was when I met my music idols Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba in the morning and when I went to their intimate concert in the evening Matt recognised me and gave me his plectrum. It was one of the most surreal feelings and I will never forget that. When you have listened to someone since you were a kid for hours on end and then you meet them and they do that…. words cannot describe.

Seeing The Northern Lights

I have been wanting to see them in their entirety for a very long time and I had had glimpses but not the whole thing. In May this year the whole of the UK was welcomed to this magical marvel and it was so lovely to see them properly at last. It was a very long day and it was a hot day and to end it like that was pretty special.

Seeing The Blue Whale

The sea was incredibly rough, a lot of people were being sea sick downstairs and I never thought we would see something so special in the Azores but we did – seeing the blue whale was incredibly special and something I would never see so that was incredible amazing.

New York

I can still not et over that I lived in New York for three months – it did not feel long enough and that it just flew by. I had a wonderful time and did loads in that time but there is always a push to wish I did more. I am so glad I kept a diary when I was there.
