The Travel Book – Oban Sea Tours, Oban, Scotland

With tourist season just around the corner, it means that certain places of Scotland are starting to prepare for the influx of visitors. If you of those that is visiting Oban, then let me advise you of something you may want to do when you are there.

One thing that really makes Oban is the water and whilst you can go there to visit a lot of the islands you can also do something else – go on a boat tour of the area.

Oban Sea Tours is a company that offers a trip where you van go along the coast and see both nature and tourist spots you cannot reach by land. They have a trip that is approx 2 hours long and it allows you to see some great landscapes, historic sites and even if you are lucky enough some interesting wildlife.

The tour runs three times a day and needs to be booked in advance, especially in the summer and it can be booked for a minimum of £36.

When I visited Oban, I decided to go on this tour. I wanted something that wasn’t too long and would allow me to see something different. I managed to see some really interesting castles, a lighthouse, some amazing mountains and even a rare eagle. and seals.

I would recommend this tour as it allows you to see something you cannot from the land and they have friendly staff and even a sea dog!
