PUFFED KELP CHIPS
Usually, when I write this article I tend to focus on indulgent snacks that are usually pretty fattening or sweet. Well today we are going to look at a snack by a start up company that believe their snacks are good for the environment.
In 2022, a San Francisco based start up company called 12 Tides released a range of puffed Kelp Chips. Kelp is a sort of seaweed / algae that lies near the coastline of the shore. It is apparently high in vitamins and omega 3.
The puffed Kelp Chips come in a variety of different flavours – sea salt, chilli pepper, truffle and pepper, vegan cheddar and everything bagel.
The snacks are made with avocado oil and are plant based, gluten free, baked and are packed in a material that is compostable.
These chips have a lot of positive reviews online with customers praising their taste and how delicious they are.
