There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

U Sure Do – Strike

Today we are heading back to the mid-nineties to reminisce about a dance track that you may remember just by hearing the chorus as it was a song that was around a lot.

U Sure Do was released in December of 1994 and it was released by the dance group called Strike. The song was written by Andy Gardner, Matt Cantor and Coffers and released under the record label of Fresh Records. The song samples Dona Allen’s track Serious and also the song Night In Motion by Cubic 22. The song was the second single to be released off of the album I Saw The Future which was released a whopping three years later in 1997.

The song did incredibly well in the charts and in the United Kingdom alone it went straight into number 1 in the UK Dance Chart and the UK Club Chart. It went into the position of number 4 in the UK singles chart. It also went into the top 30 in Australia (9), Iceland (22), Ireland (20), Italy (18) and the Netherlands (13). The single gained gold certified in the United Kingdom and sold over 400,000 copies.

It is one of those songs that when you hear it, you instantly remember it as the chorus was really catchy and I am sure growing up it was used on television adverts.
