If there is one thing I love writing about is Christmas but it is also an event that I love taking photographs of. I adore the sparkling lights of Christmas so I always take a lot of pictures. I always take a lot of images of the decorations as they fascinate me. Over the next few weeks we are going to talk about some of the photographs that I have taken over the years.
I love Christmas lights that are incredibly impressive and make you want to go ‘wow’ because of the location and they way that they have positioned them. Today we are looking at a Christmas tree that was placed in such a great place it makes an amazing photograph and desperately made me want to take a picture when I saw it.
It was 2019 and I was spending the afternoon walking around different areas of London looking at Christmas decorations as it is something I really enjoy doing. That is how I came across this tree at Waterloo. The thing I loved about it was the position of the tree – if you take a photograph from the correct angle like I did you could get it central to the London Eye.
I absolutely adore this photograph, I love how bold and bright the lights are as the positioning makes everything pop. This picture sort of puts in a nutshell why I love London at Christmas time and every-time I see this photograph it makes me happy and excited. It also makes me smile a lot.
