All year I have decided to keep a diary of tracks that I am enjoying so that maybe you can gain new ideas of tracks to listen to or even try out. So I thought what a great way to end the year and highlight some of the tracks throughout 2023 that I have enjoyed. Here are some of my favourite tracks from January to March.

14/1/23 – Gossip – Maneskin feat Tom Morello
In recent months I have started to really like this band and have listened to their songs quite a lot. This was a new track they released this month and I instantly loved it. I find this track incredibly catchy and one of my favourites from the band as it has all the dynamics of a fantastic rock track.
16/1/23 – Flowers – Miley Cyrus
Originally, this was a song that I did not pay attention to but then when there was articles popping up that this was a song aimed at her ex I thought I might as well watch the video and see what they are talking about. It is a song that is actually very catchy and the chorus gets stuck in your head. Also the video has a lot to relate to her relationship with Liam Hemsworth an it was even released on his birthday.
19/1/23 – Love From The Other Side – Fall Out Boy
It was pretty great news to find out that Fall Out Boy was releasing new music this year as well as a new album. I was not expecting a new song so quickly and it was such a pleasant surprise to have this track. Sometimes when a band returns to the scene, the music can be good but not striking, this track was very complex in it’s construction and made me excited for the musical route ahead.
5/2/23 – Desperado, Kendji Girac
This song is toe tapping and has a great beat to it, the thing that makes it unique as a dance track is the flamenco guitar that is scattered throughout. It is a track that is great fun and a joy to hear, it makes you want to tap your toe and head to the dance floor. Out of Kendji’s newer music, this is one of my favourites.
8/2/23 – Shelter (feat Avril Lavigne), MOD SUN
This is Mod Suns second track to be released with Avril Lavigne and yet again it is a song that is really catchy. The chorus is melodic and is easy to sing along to and has a real combination of his style and her style merged together. Until recently, they were engaged so it is understandable why they released a lot of tracks together but I doubt that this will be the case from now on.
13/2/23 – Running Out Of Time, Paramore
I was listening to Radio X and this was the song of the week and this is the first time I heard it. I am not sure about the new Paramore music, I listen to the new tracks and hate them at first then they weirdly grow on me. I think the reason I find their music hard to get used to is that I grew up with them when they were more emo and I find it very hard to associate their new ‘sound’ with this band as it is so different to the sound I used to know and love.
8/3/23 – Gold Confetti, Pink Spiders
It has been a long time since the band The Pink Spiders released new material and when I heard that they were releasing new music I was pretty exciting as I used to really like their music. This track is catchy, enjoyable and a really fun rock and roll track.
10/3/23 – BRAINWASHED, Waterparks
Waterparks is set to release a brand new album in April, so the fact they are still releasing tracks off of it is exciting for things to come. This track is a lovely little love song that focusses on the acoustics and is really different to the track that was released before this one.
12/3/23 – Dreaming Of You, The Coral
Sometimes you come across a track that you couldn’t stand when it was first released but over time, you realise that it was actually a catchy song. I had not heard this song by The Coral for years and when it popped on the radio the other day and my opinions completely changed. For the first time in my life, I actually enjoyed this song which was so weird!
