There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

All Or Nothing – O-Town

There was a time when boybands really were left, right and centre of the pop industry. This is a band that when they were around, they were everywhere and then they sort of vanished. This is a song I heard for the first time in years the other day and I just sang along with the chorus as it sort of came flooding back as it was a song that was sort of always around but then sort of just disappeared.

All Or Nothing was a single that was released by the American boyband O-Town on the 20th March 2001. It was written by Steve Mac and Wayne Hector and released on the record labels of J and BMG. The song did really well in the charts internationally and went in to the top 5 in Austria (5), Canada (5), Ireland (4), UK (4) and the US Billboard (3).

Now, if this song sounds familiar to you there could be a reason for that, in 2006, Westlife recorded their own version of the song and had it as an album track on The Love Album. Apparently, the song was originally offered to them but it was rejected by their executive producer and was then handed over to O-Town. The Westlife version of the song was used a lot in the background of the television show the X Factor.

I was never a bit fan of O-Town but I do think that this was a great little ballad that they had and it was a song that had a really catchy chorus.
