Today’s Featured Artist – INTERVIEW – Claudia Cappelletti

Tell Us about:

Your latest single you have released:

“Mine” faces a very current topic: “Women’s rights” Around the world, many women and girls continue to experience discrimination because of their sex and gender. Women’s rights movements have been fighting hard for many years to address this inequality, campaigning to change laws or taking to the streets to demand respect for their rights, and Claudia Cappelletti share all her strength and hope with them through this empowering song.

Your first single and how you felt when it was released:

My First single was called Closer When We Are Distant. I wrote it during the pandemic. At that time, I got stuck in Colombia without being able to see my family in Italy for 2 years… and that “distance” brought us “closer” even more. I released the song in the middle of the pandemic, and it felt so liberating to express myself in such a crucial moment for the entire world.

Your favorite song that you have created that is an album track:

My last song “Mine”, because there is so much in that song, from love to politics, to empowerment, to rights, to justice to social crisis, etc.

Your favorite song to play live:

Shallow by Lady Gaga (cover) and “Mine” my last song.

The song that was the longest to write and why?

Invisible scars… this song talks about the power of the words, and it’s an intense and hard topic for me since I was bullied from a very young age, and I realized how powerful words can be in a negative way but also in a positive way. I wanted to create more consciousness about the use of it.

Your most emotional track:

MINE

The best lyric you have ever written:

INVISIBLE SCARS

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

Adrenaline is something hard to explain, I LOVE performing and I think it’s where I give my very best, connecting with people and making them feel what I have inside.

The hardest track to play live:

Watching over you

Essential items you always take on tour with you?

An outfit that I can feel amazing with and free to express myself… and all my heart.

Describe your fans in three words:

Empathic, dreamers, full of life.

A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:

Coming back to life by Pink Floyd
