Hello! Tell us about yourself?
We are a group of Kenyan acrobats who grew up in a leading circus school in Nairobi. For some years we have been traveling the world with our show made of fun and adrenaline.
How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the Fringe?
It is a tribute to the cult film The Blues Brothers. An acrobatic celebration to the rhythm of music!
Tell us all about your show!
In an elegant Cotton Club-style lounge bar, a cleaner is chasing his dream of becoming one of the Blues Brothers, when two characters, dressed in the iconic suits of John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, show up offering him a chance to make his dreams come true, helped by them and his two colleagues. Following the whims of an extravagant vintage radio, playing rhythm’n’blues music, the barman and the whole staff transform into performers doing balancing acts, waving flags, jumping and acrobatics with fire. Expect human pyramids, limbo with flames, jumping with rope and between hoops, hilarious gags, funny stripteases and much more!
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?
As always, Fringe is full of very interesting shows. We checked the programme and saw lots of circus companies we would like to see. If we have time, we will surely go to see 7 fingers, Circa and La Clique.
Have you done the Fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the Fringe.
This is our third time in Edinburgh! We had a lot of success in 2019 and 2022, when we were chosen by Theatre Weekly as best circus show. Participating in the Fringe means being part of a mammoth mechanism, so it’s very hard to give advice.
We can surely say that flyering is effective, especially if you involve people.
Trying to have a good hall in the first days helps with word-of-mouth.
But one of the most important pieces of advice is that you can’t control everything! So, relax and do your best on the stage. People will love what you are doing.
What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the Fringe?
Be focused on the show, but also try to have some relaxing moments. Edinburgh is a wonderful city and during the Fringe there are lots of interesting shows to see and people to meet. Working hard but also appreciating the very special moments you are living.
Best thing about performing at the Fringe?
It’s the most important festival in the world. What else?
The most challenging thing about performing at the Fringe?
It’s the most important festival in the world! The pressure is high.
What would be your top three items every performer must take to the Fringe?
A notebook, to schedule all the shows and the appointments; business cards, in case of need; and last thing… a soccer ball, to take some time to have fun!
What’s the secret to successful flyering?
Involve people. Doing some acrobatics, speaking to them, explain the show.
Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?
We performed in front of Pope Francis and in front of the Princes of Monaco. At the Royal Variety Performance, we were introduced to King Charles III. But the dream audience is the one that doesn’t know us yet: because every time we take the heart of a new person, we are the happiest people in the world.

And finally, in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
