Hello! Tell us about yourself?

Hello, my name is Josh Jones and I am a 30 year old comedian from Manchester and I only have 2 GCSE’s but I did an extra year in BTEC so I’m not to worried about it.

How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?

Honestly I looked through a list of British Phrases and just picked one. That’s how I named my last show as well.

Tell us all about your show!

It’s mainly just a funny hour of stories from my life. But I speak a lot about growing up and also I’ve recently met a new guy and i am a bit obsessed with him so there’s a good few jokes about him.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

The Edinburgh Dungeons is my favourite show! I know it’s not part of the fringe but I go crazy for the Dungeons I’m collecting them. I’ve done all the UK ones and Berlin. I just have Amsterdam, Hamburg and Shanghai left

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

My advice is just to have one goal to focus and don’t worry about everything else and don’t compare yourself to other people.

Favourite one liner you have done in a show and why?

I’m gay, I’m dyslexic and I’m left handed. I’m just a catholic teachers worst nightmare.

What have been some of the most unique and different comedy shows you have seen this year and why?

I don’t watch comedy shows on my nights off because I see so much comedy at work but I watch loads of musicals, Dirty Dancing live was honestly so good. I screamed so much

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

I try and walk up Arthur’s seat or get a big walk in before my show and then do the gig and hang out with friends after

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?

I love to get out of the fringe and go to the beach or up Arthur’s seat.

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

Honestly I travel so much for gigs I just like the idea of not travelling for a full month

The most challenging thing about performing at the fringe?

It’s far to expensive

What’s the secret to successful flyering?

I used to flyer for other comics when I was open spot to make money at the fringe and I can honestly say I was rubbish at it. I get lost in my own thoughts and then before I know it’s 20 people have just walked past but I was to distracted.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Bette Midler

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

 Instagram joshyjones92

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

I am funny
