Hello! Tell us about yourself?
My name is Tatty Macleod, I’m a comedian, I’m a gemini and I have pink hair. Any questions?
How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the fringe?
Nostalgia. It reminds me of a song I used to sing as a child. Also I panicked and now I can’t change it as it’s in the printed program.
Tell us all about your show!
It’s about being raised in rural France with three sisters and a mum who doesn’t speak a word of French.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
Alex Haddow, Paddy Young, Liz Guterbock, Adam Flood… too many to list!
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
Remember to eat something other than mac and cheese when you’re there. And mac and cheese pies don’t count. (trust me)
Favourite one liner you have done in a show and why?
I’ve got three sisters, I’m one of four girls and whenever I tell people this they always have the same reaction “Your poor dad, how did he cope with having FOUR GIRLS?” Well I’ll tell you exactly how he coped, my dad… left.
I like because it’s true and it makes my mum laugh.
What have been some of the most unique and different comedy shows you have seen this year and why?
Two words: Candy Gigi. Absolutely, phenomenally, totally, off the wall.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
Depending on how much I drank the night before: wake up/cry/do my show/laugh/sleep /have a glass of wine/laugh/cry/sleep. Not necessarily in that order.
What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?
As an audience member it’s impossible to not enjoy yourself, too many great shows/food/stuff to see.
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
Mac and cheese.
The most challenging thing about performing at the fringe?
Performing after eating your bodyweight in mac and cheese.
What would be your top three items every performer must take to the fringe?
A waterproof jacket, a backpack and condoms. Just joking: Xanax.
What’s the secret to successful flyering?
Paying someone else to do it.
Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?
The Spice Girls. I’d abandon the show, turn the hour into a reunion tour and convince Victoria to rejoin the band. Boom.
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
@tatty.macleod on Tiktok and instagram
And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
Je m’appelle Tatty.
