What is your Favourite:
Improv style:
Relationship and character based improv. We like playing out the absurdities that come from the everyday mundane. That’s what we enjoy playing anyway!
Short form game:
Andy recently learned ‘picket line’ from the Showstoppers’ course and Rachel loves it!
Improv act:
So many! One of our first headliners was Thunderclap and their style has definitely inspired us.
Film or television show:
We were both quite obsessed with the most recent series of ‘White Lotus’.
Venue to perform at:
We met at Hoopla but the Comedy Cabin is a spiritual home.
Way to wind down:
We have a hug and tell each other how amazing we are.
Way to warm up:
We always start a warm up with a very intense session of mirroring.
Suggestion:
We love a deep and personal chat with our audience. The topic changes every show but we encourage our audience to share their deepest, darkest, secrets.
Show by another improv act:
Track 96 have performed with us since day 1 and we love them.
Part of rehearsing a show:
Mud water! Getting the crazy out of our system.
Thing about performing:
Getting into our flow and being totally absorbed by the scene. It can be meditative. The endless possibilities make performing improv so exciting.
Quote:
‘What’s this really about?’ – we ask each other and ourselves when a scene is going downhill.
Thing about the improv industry at the moment:
The variety of style out there!
Thing about this year so far?
Bit wet… but it’s a new year
