Welcome to the feature where every fortnight we will explore different topics that are listed in the book A List A Day by Paperchase. They range from food, music and travel to really random topics so I thought it wold be a fun one to talk about throughout the year!

Today’s List: DIY Projects

I love being creative and doing DIY style things always make me happy, I love watching videos of hacks to make things easier and more exciting in places like the kitchen, and crafts etc. So I thought it would be fun to look at the topic I discovered in the book about DIY.

Upcycle furniture – I watch a lot of shows about DIY and one thing that is so popular is upcycling and I think that it is a fantastic idea. I haven’t had a chance to do this just yet but I am looking forward to doing it. I think it is great the way that you can transform something that is old and derelict into something new and wonderful.

Gardening – I would love to do some gardening, I have done a bit in the past but haven’t had time yet to actually get me hands into it. I have grown some vegetables before and it was so rewarding to see them grown from a seed to a fruit or vegetable.

Sewing – During lockdown, I bought a sewing machine and I have made a few things but I still believe there is more items I can make around the house. It is so exciting to see a bit of material turn into something else!
