Hello! Tell us about yourself, Linus?

Hi. I’m Linus Karp. I like pizza and cats, but due to my acid reflux I can’t eat either of those things.

How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the fringe?

I like a short and sweet title that doesn’t give anything away.

Tell us all about your show!

The show looks at the Jellicle aspects of the Jellicle cats in Cats – and how you can apply them to your life. It’s a chaotic and queer PowerPoint presentation that doesn’t require any previous knowledge of the cinematic masterpiece that is Cats.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

When you get to my age you look forward to nothing. Except the sweet release of death.

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe?

Love every moment and never get tired and perform really well and look good and have a lot of money and never cry.

What have been some of your favourite shows to date and why?

I’ve never dated any shows, only men.

Favourite one liner you have done in a show and why?

I was performing a kids show in drag in a graveyard notorious for gay cruising. I pulled up a male audience member on stage and his young daughter said “daddy, no!” I responded with “He’s my daddy now!”

What three items are essential for a successful Fringe?

A boyfriend, a meal deal and a second meal deal.

What have been some of the most unique and different comedy shows you have seen this year and why?

I watched a live performance of the Moomins three times in one day – it’s definitely up there.

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the fringe?

Scream as often and as loudly as you can. AAAAGHHH. Like that.

What is the best thing about performing at the fringe?

The inevitable West End transfer.

The most challenging thing about performing at the fringe?

The inevitable West End transfer.

What’s the secret to successful flyering?

My mum is very good at it, so I guess being middle aged and Swedish.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Our jellicle Queen Judi Dench.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

@awkwardprods and @linuskarp

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

It’ll make you
