Sunday Book Club – Buying Disney’s World, Aaron H. Goldberg

Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are going to explore the history of Disney World

Positive Points

The story of how Disney World came about is a really interesting read and initially I was really enjoying it as it was a story that I never knew before. I always wondered why it was located in Florida and not California. There is a lot of information in this book that makes me want to explore more at some point.

Negative Points

Whilst this was a good read, at times it did become very businesslike and this meant that it took the fun out of the book at times. i found myself flicking pages sometimes not really reading because it was all about the money and the big guns and not really about the park.

Overall Review

The book was an ok read – I really enjoyed it initially but when it goes off on a tangent about the business of buying the land etc it can get a bit boring. If you are a fan of Disney I advise giving it a read and if the numbers get a bit dull just sneakily skip that page.
