Listed! – This Week – Ways To Past The Time

Welcome to the feature where every fortnight we will explore different topics that are listed in the book A List A Day by Paperchase. They range from food, music and travel to really random topics so I thought it wold be a fun one to talk about throughout the year!

Today’s List: Ways To Past The Time

Sometimes you find yourself with not a lot to do and you want something to do. I think over the last 2 years, the pandemic has really taught me to appreciate the little things and really make the use of every spare time that I actually have. So today’s list is dedicated to things that I enjoy doing to pass the time and really enjoy doing.

Read

If there is one thing that really is a great way to past the time then that is reading. You can escape to so many far off places and learn so much at the same time. I like to mix it up and read fiction whilst I am reading a factual book so that I can switch between to two. Even in the real world, reading is a great way to get through a commute or waiting for someone.

Write

One thing I tend to a lot when I want to pass the time is write and with this website I do that alot. I am very traditionalist and love writing by hand and actually a lot of the articles on this site are actually handwritten before they are typed up. Again it is another form of escapism and really enjoyable to do.

Gaming

This is one way that can really pass the time – there are so many games and sometimes you can get so invested in one that time can go really quickly. Over lockdown I discovered the world of Uncharted and it blew my mind whilst also took many of my hours away as I enjoyed it so much.

Creative projects

A fun way to pass the time is to do some creative projects – baking, sewing, pottery, painting – there is so much you can venture into and the world is your oyster! The only problem with this sort of project you have to feel inspired to actually complete the idea.
