In the Games Corner – MEMORY CARD EDITION – Becoming Addicted to Uncharted

Welcome to a new sister article to In The Games Corner that is about computer games but with a different spin. I have been playing computer games from a very young age and I find that some games when I think of them are attached to very strong memories. So, I thought it would be fun to share memories that I have attached to some of these games as there are a few. I wanted to call this feature Memory Card because a lot of my memories that i have strongly are around the Playstation 1 and there will be a few around that particular card. Today we take a look at Uncharted

At the beginning of lockdown, Playstation did a very kind thing – they offered users two games for free, one of the games they were giving out was Uncharted. I had heard of the game but knew nothing really about it and thought it was maybe a really violent game with zombies or about the army. How wrong was I!

The first thing that I was surprised about was that the Playstation game they had given you for free had not one but THREE of the games in the download which was a lovely surprise and initially I was really hoping I would like it because there was so many to choose from!

When I first started playing the game, I wasn’t sure what I thought of it and hen suddenly something changed pretty dramatically and I became addicted. The Uncharted series is such a great set of games, I know I am very late to the party but all the games blew my mind. Whilst I started with the first game, I started to play the first three games all at the same time and it was actually the third game I completed first.

The thing I like about these games is that its like they took all the elements I loved from Indiana Jones and Lara Croft and combined them altogether.

Just to give you an example of how the games became a firm favourite of mine – I started 1,2 and 3 in April 2020 and by January 2021 I had completed all 5 games. There is such a gaping hole in my gaming heart now as I have no idea where to turn for games as I loved that so much.

The thing that I love about it is the adventure, there is never a dull moment with something you were not expecting around every corner. There is so much action and every part of every game is fantastic.

I have always been a fan of the company Naughty Dog as they make great games but this one completely exceeded my expectations. If it wasn’t for lockdown I probably wouldn’t of thought of playing them and that is really crazy.
