Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first! Today we look at the brand new album by Otherish that is their debut – Otherish
Uladh’s Dying
This song starts off with this really enchanting piano and guitar melody that feels like something big is coming and creates an air of mystery which is an interesting way to begin an album and as a listener it really welcomes you into ths world that they are creating. It has an element of choral to the song that when the lyrics kick in there is this really ambient music composition that has built up. It has this really psychedelic feel to it.
Your Tunnel
This song has this really indie like feel to the introduction of this song that melds into this really mesmerising echo effect that plays with the sound in your headphones as it creates this really interesting effect. The slow lyrics and the electronic sound throughout take you on a journey. Throughout these 5 minutes the song takes on different developments that allow you to experience this really unusual journey.
The Morning Sun
This song starts with this really high pitched voice that some may find difficult to listen to but if you allow that section of the track to pass then you are welcomed to a song that is full of a summery theme. It takes the ideology of an indie track and mixes it with the nostalgia of the sixties. It is a song that will take you on a nostalgic version whilst also bringing it up to a modern day vibe.
Dawn What Planet?
This song has a really calm and uplifting guitar melody throughout this song that is a delight to hear and also emphasises the lyrics. To me it has a sense of the song Dawn of Aquarius to it as it has this really sixties feel to it. The song takes you on a melodic journey and really highlights the talent of the band.
