COTTON CANDY PEEPS
Today we look at a product that was announced new on the market this time last year. Before we discuss what the new product is, lets first take a look at what Peeps actually are. Peeps were founded in 1953 in the United States, they were produced and created by Just Born – a manufacturer that is located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania by a Russian called Sam Born.
Peeps are marshmallows and apparently ‘the largest candy manufacturer in the world’ according to the online world. Peeps are marshmallows that are covered in different coloured flavoured sugars and shaped as either chicks, bunnies or other animals.
Last year, it was announced that the company would be releasing a Cotton Candy flavoured marshmallows in chick shapes. The chicks are bright pink in colour and have bright blue speckles throughout. According to the website, the Cotton Candy flavour is meant to take you back to the fairground and experience the taste of the carnival.
There are many mixed reviews of this product with people saying they taste ok but there are things missing. For example, the sweet needs a stronger flavour and the sugar or crust apparently falls off.
