Media Madness!

Media Madness! – This Week – Let’s Go On A TV Binge!

Due to the popularity of Question Roulette the past few years, I thought it was time to jump to another book with lots of questions. This time the book is called Music Madness Mayhem – the book covers everything from film, television, music, and much more! So every week we will be covering questions from the book until we run out! I am not going to number them this time as I am going to be doing the book in a random order!

Topic of the week – Binge Television

Everyone loves a show that they can binge watch and in a world of streaming services, it means that it is easier then ever! We all have our favourites and that’s exactly what we are discussing today. Here are five of my favourite shows to binge watch and my reasons why.

1. Office US

This is a show that no matter how many times that I watch it, I never get bored of it –  I love the Office US, firstly because I am a huge fan of Steve Carrell and secondly because it is just a really well written show. All of the parts have been casted so well that you feel invested by the characters stories and you always want to hear more about them. Also, it is a place that home to so many different sayings that you can use to bond with friends or just say all the time and they still make you giggle.

2. You

This is a very different sort of binge style show to The Office US as it is one of those shows that when you start watching it, the narrative reels you into this engaging and toxic world Joe. Once you start watching it you have to keep watching the episodes as you need a result to what you are happening. This is not a show you would watch over and over again, but it is a programme that you automatically want to binge it in it’s entirety because it is so well edited and it leaves you wanting more every time.

3. Gotham

The first time I tried to watch this show I just couldn’t get into it – it wasn’t because I didn’t enjoy it, I think it was because it was on Channel 5 and it was hard to remember when it was on as I was working really crazy hours at the time. When it was announced it was coming to Netflix I was super excited as it allowed me to watch it in it’s true form without having to keep up when it is on. Whilst I am not a fan of gore this show is phenomenal and the story and characters are absolutely amazing. When I do decide t watch this, I watch it from start to finish to keep the pace of the show going and to truly pay respect to the wonderful creation that has been produced.

4. Chuck

I don’t think there will ever be a comedy drama action show that will mean more to me then Chuck – it is by far my favourite show, it has so many twists with the narratives, so much humour and so addictive for so many reasons. I love the story of Chuck, there is no bad episodes it is wonderful from start to finish. The twists on the storylines, I will never forget the first time I saw them and my jaw dropping.  I always thought that there wasn’t enough episodes but they do say that the best programmes leave you wanting more.

5. The Big Bang Theory

It has come to a point that Big Bang Theory has become a sort of comfort blanket to me – I have seen it in about 4 different languages and I still know what the lines are – that is how much I have seen this show. I have always enjoyed Big Bang but since it has gone on Netflix I use it as a show I go to sleep to. I really love this show but because I work crazy shifts with my job it is always nice to have a show you can watch to unwind to and if you fall asleep, it doesn’t matter.
