Off The Record – ALBUM FOCUS – Future Dust, The Amazons

Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first!  Today we look at the album Future Dust by The Amazons

Fuzzy Tree

This song has a huge guitar melody right from the start that welcomes you into a song that is full of great guitar riffs and drums throughout. The lyrics compliment the music compilation and welcomes you with a really good alternative rock song. The high toned guitar throughout creates a fast pace and really helps construct this song.

25

You are welcome to a song where the guitars are deliberately in a different beat to the actual song and whilst this all changes in the verses in the opening this is a very strong and creative start. The chorus is a highlight of this song as the music changes and creates this really powerful melody that goes very well with the chorus. The piano that is faintly heard in the background really compliments the guitars in the foreground and creates this perfect song mix between indie and rock. Another highlight of this song is the outro nothing but hard guitar rock.

End of Wonder

The song opens with a guitar melody that is simple yet very catchy; this gets welcomed by a drum beat and a guitar riff into the verse that is full of a staccato melody that creates drama and really allows you to pay attention to the lyrics. This song is really worth listening to because of just how well the music is constructed. A very good album song highly recommend.

Dark Visions

This song is really catchy and the drum beat in between the verse and chorus is the one thing that you really pay attention to on this song. This song reminds me a bit of Kids In Glass Houses as it opens very similarly to one of their songs. Again like a lot of the songs on this album the guitars really make it.
