GOOEY BUTTER CAKE ON A STICK

For todays Taste Of States, we head over to the fast food chain called White Castle for something that put an American Favourite on a stick in 2015 – Gooey Butter Cake.

White Castle released a dessert for 99 cents a piece of Butter Cake stuck on a stick that you can have a pudding after a meal of sliders. Butter Cake is a speciality from the Midwest from the city of St Louis. It is a popular local cake that is flat and dense that is made from wheat cake flour, butter, sugar, and eggs and dusted with powdered sugar.  It is part of the collection of ‘tiny sliders’ they have  in their frozen collection.

The cakes have received many positive reviews for it’s taste but the size was something that people were not keen on as it was very small.
