Off The Record – ALBUM FOCUS – I Don’t Know How But They Found Me

Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first!  Today we look at a band that has been flagged by many music sites as being the ones to watch in 2019. Today we look at all the songs on the EP-  I Don’t Know How But They Found Me by the band with the same name

Choke

The highlight of this song is the piano melody it takes an indie genre song and heightens it to a whole another level.

Social Climb

The part of this song that immediately stands out is the electronic bass line that is prominent throughout the song. It is a great little beat that makes this song unique and stand out. The lyrics are fun and the chorus brings everything together

Bleed Magic

The drums are sort of. Electronic on this song and that’s what makes it fun. The thing I like about this ep is that there is a chime used that pays reference to the old style books your used to turn at the same time as the chime went. This is throughout the song and its a quirky little reference which is really fun. The song and lyrics Intertwine around a melodic piano which makes this song so fun.

Absinthe

This is one of my favourites on this EP although it is hard to not like all the songs because they are all so different but weirdly familiar. The one thing I Adore about this song is the piano and the drum bass and they way they are magically intertwined with one another throughout the whole song. The best bit is the musical interlude.

Do It All The Time

This is the debut single and it is also the song that I initially heard that got me interested in this band. The thing I like about it is that it is so different to so many songs out there. It feels like it has refreshed a genre whilst also referring back to older ones. A treat to the ears.
