This boook gives you an insight into the world of a 28 year old (what he was back then) and about how difficult it is to find a relationship when you haven’t had a girlfriend for 7 years because he wasn’t bothered by the fact. The book follows Jon as he faces going his first date in a long time and the emotions that go with it.

The Life of Lee – Lee Evans
it is not normal for a life story of someone to make a list about romance and comedy but this autobiography is one that should be high on this list because of this particular reason. Whilst a lot of the book is about how Lee became a comedian and got known a lot of it is all abotu his wife and daughter. Whilst it is a very long and big book, it is really detailed about every part of his life on the journey to stardom. Throughout the whole of the book you can feel the love that is flowing through his veins for his wife and daughter that it will make you have a great sense of hope and really admire him as a person.

It’s Not Me, It’s Them! Confessions of a Hopeless Modern Romantic – Joel Dommett
This book is released on the 8th of this month so if you are looking for something BRAND SPANKING NEW then this is the book for you. Joel has become a very popular household name since he won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Since then he has become engaged and is regularly doing more television presenting. The book is all about the dating adventures of Mr Donmett, and explores his mission to fidn ‘the one’ with the first forty people he sleeps with. The book include diary entries from Joel as a teenager, plus so much more. We will be reviewing it at some point this year – so keep your eyes peeled!

Classis Scrapes – James Acaster
If you are looking for a book that explores embarrassing moments that will make your calamities look tiny and nothing special, then this is the book you must read and is one that is going to make you laugh out loud. Alot. James is one of those people where he always ends up in the most unique and craziest scenarios and some of these just happen to be about dating and they are pure laugh out loud hilarious.

Happy Slapped By A Jellyfish – Karl PIlkington
Sometimes all we want is a lighthearted read where the author just goes on and moans constantly about every little small thing the world that no-one else would probably moan about – well if that is the book you are after then at book is written by Karl Pilkington. There was a time when Karl wrote a diary and in that diary he wrote about all the holidays he went on and various days at home.

Fans of the Ricky Gervais Show will be very familiar with some of these diary entries as they were read aloud on the show, however they are also part of this book. The one thng that fans of the show love about Karl was the way he talks about his girlfriend and what they get up to. You just need to read a few pages of this book to realise why people find Karl hilarious. A pure gem of a book if you just want to laugh at a moaning man who moans about everything and gets pleasure out of someone who loves the little things in life.
