If you are looking for a show with a difference then there is one theatre that you must check out and that is The Drayton Arms Theatre and the show is Osric Omand and The Story of Hope, a horror action comedy that is bound to make you laugh and maybe even jump out of your seats!
The show is based around the character Osric and his caretaker Hans as they deal with a outbreak at the Institute of Monsters. The show is a mix of comedy, Stage combat, pop culture, music and lots of fun and exciting effects which will make you both laugh out and loud and be highly entertained. This is like no theatre show you have ever seen before as the whole ideology behind the theatre company 21st Century Cox is to create shows that have a sense of blockbuster film to them.
We spoke to Joseph Emms, both the writer and the Director of the show:
Usually I take themes from classic literature and give them a twist or comic vibe, for instance this show draws upon Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. With an explosive cocktail of stage combat, live music and impractical effects on a shoestring budget, Osric Omand and The Story of Hope promises to be the stage blockbuster of the year.
The show is happening between the 13th and 17th of February at The Drayton Arms Theatre London and tickets cost £5.00. To find out more you can visit the site by clicking here and watch the trailer below.
