TACO BELL NAKED CHICKEN CHIPS
Today we look at a food that was added only temporary to a the menu of a chain and proved to be so popular that in the month of October of this year (5 months after John originally reviwed them) they are back on the menu as a regular with some expansions – but more about that later. Lest look at the original food which is Taco Bells Naked Chicken Chips.
These are a product not to be messed with. Back in the summer of 2016, Taco Bell tested out the product Naked Chicken Chips in selected stores. These were Chicken coated with mexican spices and seasoning and shaped in the form of a nacho crisp (think Doritos) and was served with a nacho cheese dipping sauce. The product did so well that in May of this year they released then nationally around America. They were sold as either a six piece for $1.99 or a 12 piece for $3.99
From both reading and researching online, I am not sure how long they were on the market for originally but according to artcles it looks like it was a limited time. This October. it was announced that they were making a welcome return to the shop with a lot of other new products including Bacon Ranch Naked Chicken Chalupa – but more about that in the future when I am sure John will explore it. They are also making the Naked Chicken availbale at breakfast too. Customers can now buy Chicken and Biscuits which is the classic american meal of biscuits served alongside the chicken chips and spicy Jalapeno Honey.
The question now is – are the chicken chips as good as the sound? John was on the case back in May and here is what he thought.
