Today we look at a musician that had a hit in the nineties with a song that if you heard it you would instantly recognise it. Today we look at what some would Call a “one hit wonder” artist called White Town.

The group was formed by Jyoti Prakash Mishra in 1989 after seeing the group The Pixies perform live.

The original line up had other members of the band who played various instruments however in 1990 a lot of them had faded away from the group. He released an album in 1990 that was self financed called White Town EP.

In 1997 the single Your Woman was released and became an instant success.

The song went to number one in both the UK and Spain and did very well in countries such as Australia and Denmark.

After the song, White Town did not have any songs that were a hit so became known as a one hit wonder. So let’s have a look at White Towns hit track.
