Question Roulette

Question Roulette – Cupcake Cocktails, Unexpected Gifts and Frankenstein

Three years ago i bought a book in Tampa which is meant to be a great for creative like minds and for the past three years I have made it my New Years Resolution to complete it. The book is called 642 Things To Write About by The San Francisco Writers Grotto. I never got round to writing many of them so what’s a better way then getting through them then writing a few as an article each week! Enjoy!

164. What you were doing this time last year?

Catching up with London Friends, improv scene and getting used to a new job.

165. An unexpected gift.

A new friendship and when someone thanks you for your work

166. Set your alarm for 3am, wake up, and write the first thing that comes to mind.

I want to go back to sleep it’s too early.

167. Introduce your long time imaginary friend

It’s called my mind, it thinks a lot and comes up with lots of crazy scenarios.

168. Open your kitchen cabinet. Write a scene incorporating the first three things you see.

Jeffrey wanted a really exotic drink to celebrate the big life decision he had just made, he went to the cupboard. He opened the cupboard takes out the blender – he adds citrus flavours, vodka and rum. He feels this is not enough he gets the pre made cake mix and gets the cake baking tray out.  He cooks the cupcakes and gets the cooling rack which he gets out of the cabinet – he then mashes up the cakes and adds them to the cocktail mix.

169. You are Frankenstein. Write a letter to Mary Shelley thanking her for making your story known.

Dear who they call Mary,
Thank You for writing my story, you have done a lot for showing why people like me shouldn’t exist. Thank you for making people want to find out more about me.
