Two years ago, the States decided to do something a little bit more outrageous with a pizza- they decided to combo it up with another American favourite – the hot dog and make a crust from them.

Now back in 2012 the UK did release a similar item however the hotdog was in the crust and was drizzled with mustard. Other countries like the UK and Australia had the pizza first and sort of worked as a sort of trial before it hit the states.

Pizza Huts Hot Dog Pizza in America had 28 separate hot dogs as part of its crust. The pizza also came with the options of having a pretzel finish to the crust if you wanted it with a side of French’s Classic Yellow Mustard. There are many reviews over the internet as to how it tasted and whether it was any good – some were saying the pretzel crust was too salty, others saying that the pizza was a genius idea! When the Pizza was released John Egan tried this delicacy and what was his verdict? watch the video below.
