Shake Your Bon-Bon – Ricky Martin

Today we are heading to the end of the nineties to take a look at a single that was released by a solo artist that was very popular at the time of release.

On the 12th October 1999, Ricky Martin released a single Shake Your Bon-Bon. It was written by Desmond Child, George Noriega and Draco Rosa. It was released on the record labels of Columbia and C2. It was the third single to be released off of the musicians second album which was self titled.

The song may sound familiar as it has been used in many different pieces of media including the Toyota Corolla and the animated film Happy Feet.

The single did well in the charts and went into the top 20 in Canada (9), Finland (6), Italy (3), New Zealand (10), Spain (11), Us Hot Latin Songs (14) and US Pop Airplay (11). In the UK the single went into the charts at position 12.
