Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are looking at the next book of Dr Nell series…

A Generation of Vipers (2023)
Sarah Yarwood-Lovett
Synopsis
A cold-blooded killer is on the loose and this is not his first victim. As DI James Clark begins to investigate, a pattern emerges pointing towards this being the work of a serial killer. Every victim shares the same physical characteristics – all of which are a match to Nell herself.
As Nell is pulled into a tightly coiled mystery, she can’t help feeling someone is tracking her every move…
Can she unmask the murderer before they strike again?

Positive Points
This book I would say is the creepiest so far as the killer is very different to the others that have already been in this book series. It is a story that keeps you invested whilst also turning it slightly into a thriller. There are a few good side stories as well that continues the main narrative of the story and where the last book left off.
Negative Points
To understand a big chunk of the story you have to read the past three books first.
Overall Review
Usually when you get to the third or fourth book in a series it can lose its momentum but this series keeps ramping up the stories. This is a great read and really easy to get into but you cannot read it as a standalone.
