There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

You can live in London all your life and still come across something new each time. A few years ago, I was heading to Liverpool Street area for an Improv class and stumbled across this statue.

I really like this structure and I really adore this photograph.

I love how powerful the structure looks, it is tall, it is bold, it is prominent. The photo really captures a story and it makes you want to walk through the archways and discover more and where they lead to.

I feel the reason this photo works so well is because of the dark shiny floor. I cannot remember if it had rained but the reflection gives this photograph a feeling of power to it.

I think it is sort of a metaphor for what London is – classy, bold and innovative.
