Your latest single you have released:
Our latest single we released was P***jugs and Rattlesnakes, complete with a music video and all the fixings. Fire dancers, skateboarding, big ass party, it was a blast to shoot. We ARE coming out with a new album – “Listen… Shut Up!” – in October though, so there’s more on the horizon single and video wise for us very soon!

The resounding favorite lyric in P***jugs is:

We had a friend who used to say that whenever he was messed up all the time. “I p*** once a year, its dark brown, and it smells like ham!” Always puts a smile on our faces.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
I can’t speak for the rest of the band, but my personal favourite is “No Savior”, from our second album “Broke & Ugly”. The song is sincere, but badass, extreme but catchy, real but snarky. And definitely pointed. That’s the essence of Turbo’s best writing to me.
Your favourite song to play live:
Definitely “Broke and Ugly”. When the crowd joins in on that chorus its an addictive feeling, and its one of the must-haves in the set every show. Too dope.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
The Serpent’s Coil from our first album “Fast as F***” took forever – like a month or two. Not sure why, just gave us a lot of trouble. But we kept being stubborn about it and came out with something we’re still really happy with.
One of your previous tracks you would recommend for first time listeners of your music and why?
The entire “Broke and Ugly” album, head to ass listen to it. It’s like 30 mins, what do you have to lose, stop being a wimp.

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Well alright. So for an hour before our set we’re walking the tightrope between trying not to be too drunk, and being drunk enough to have the best time ever. I usually try to poop? Singing when you have to poop for 45 mins to an hour is an absolute nightmare, and it’s the kind of mistake you only wanna make once.
Then we usually shuffle in one place waiting for the band before us to get their gear off stage. It’s never as quick as we want it to be. Then I get one or two beers and a big glass of water with no ice. Swallowing ice accidentally between songs is a 100% set-killer, and its the kind of mistake you only wanna make once .
Then we quickly get our shit hooked up. We take about 7-8 mins if nothing gets fucky. Then quick vocal/monitor check, I usually try to say something stupid like “watermelon donut” a thousand times.
Then Sylvain does a “fuddyla fuddyla fuddyla” drum fill and BAM! We all come in. This is literally the second I get excited about the set and it all comes at once, such a rush. SUCH a rush lol.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
My backpack is pretty essential. The big back pocket is filled with cartons of smokes and extra bandanas. The middle pocket has my notebook and pens/markers for writing random lyrics, notes and set lists. And the front pocket is pretty much the band’s medicine cabinet. After being on the road so much, I like to be prepared for anything that comes up, and WOW does it all come up.

Iunno, Too Bad for You by Sister? The version from the “Deadboys Making Noise” EP. That song RIPS!
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
We’re releasing our third album “Listen… Shut Up!” in October, and we’re very very excited about it. Its 8 tracks, we recorded and mixed all of it ourselves, and we’re stoked to hear what all of you think about it, we’re very proud.
