Tell Us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Our latest single is a song called ‘Overcome’. It was actually the first song I ever wrote and it’s great that it’s finally found a home.
The song is quite dark in its sound and message but does end on a lighter note and has a very uplifting guitar solo.
Your favourite lyric in this song:
My favorite lyrics in the song are ‘I’ll beat you down and I’ll Overcome and you’ll Lose’.
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
The Dark Of Me off our debut album. Love that song and it nearly didn’t make it onto the album.
Your favourite song to play live:
One of my favortuites is a song calle ‘Free me’. It goes from really heavy to really quiet and back again and is fun to sing.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
Probably our newest single ‘Overcome’. I have re wrote that song so many times and its never felt finished. I never found its voice. Then one day it came hurtling out of my guitar in its final form.
The song itself is 22 years old. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s been worth it.
One of your previous tracks you would recommend for first time listeners of your music and why?
The song ‘Monsters’ off our debut album would be the one I’d recommend. Its really dark but catchy.
Dream collaboration:
The Red Hot Chili Peppers would be amazing.
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
That feeling is beyond words I’m afraid. It’s unlike anything else.
The track that is most fun to play live:
Funnily it’s a song we barely play live due to time issues normally. The songs called ‘You Say, I Say’. It’s an absolute monster and again is very dynamic. It builds and builds and just feels great.
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Instruments and amps are always a good thing to take. Hahaha.
Describe your fans in three words:
Generous, Loyal & Legendary.
A song released in the last few years by an artist or band you wish you had written:
The song ‘Bella’ off the Red Hot Chili Peppers album Return Of The Dream Canteen.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
More gigs and hopefully some single releases.
