The lights go down the colour of blood stripes across the stage with eery music, is it a start of a horror film? No, it’s the beginning of a very unique stand up show that only the mind of Sarah Roberts could create.

Alone, that is a hard-core theme of this show, the doors are locked, the woes of being single in early thirties is stated and also eating her twin in the womb, the stand up show delves into elements of Sarah that have led to this fear of being alone and the concept of the show.

Scary Movie 7 is an incredibly well scripted stand up show with some very creative jokes, great storytelling with a hint of eery ever so often to keep it on trend to theme ( the odd sound effects, the odd one liner here and there).

One of the most interesting aspects of Sarah’s stand up is when she speaks to the audience, she remembers their name and brings them into the conversations throughout. It’s a really nice touch and really involves members of the audience in a simple but effective way.

It is not hard to see why this show has been receiving raving reviews, it is a very good hour of stand up. Great, hilarious and a great definition of making the comedy genre your own and bossing it.
