HALF POUND TEXAS CHILI BURGER
Today we are heading to the Houston Live Stock and Rodeo Show to take a look at a gigantic burger that is meant to be a real experience when you taste it.
The Half Pound Texas Chili Burger won the 2015 Gold Buckle Foodie Award which means that this dish is quite special.
The chili is created with onions, bell peppers, jalapenos, garlic, chili, smoked sausage, sirloin beef patties and Angus beef cubes. Everything is seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, onion, smoked paprika, oregano, thyme and chili powder. The chili is finished off with Dark Texas Beer and left to cook.
The bun of the burger is made locally and an Angus beef patty is placed followed by cheese, lettuce, the cooked chili, tex mex queso sauce and smoked bacon.
There are many positive reviews of the restaurant staying it is a ‘taste experience’ and the smoked bacon brings it all together.
