Harvey Cobb isn’t presenting any sort of comedy, he is introducing you to the world of ‘art and images’ something that is definitely unique in the comedy world. It also emphasises that the show is meant to be witnessed as an ‘experience’ when he first introduces you to the show.

I think that is probably the best way to describe this show as it is incredibly unique. The stage is full with a variety of many different pink wellington boots that are scattered across the stage and used in many different skits throughout.

I don’t want to give anything away but I will talk about a few moments that sort of generalises what happens. There is a section where there is a ‘performance art’ with a beer can which to me has an essence of and is reminiscent of the hacky sack scene in She’s All That with Freddy Prinze Jnr.

There is juggling with wellington boots which is highlighted as something Harvey is reluctant to do that actually is quite a good part of the show and brings the comedy with the boots into the limelight. There is also a lot of audience participation – again I do not what to say a lot as I feel it will give the dynamics of the show away.

If I was asked to summarise this show for someone I am not sure really what I would say. It is unpredictable, bizarre and whilst confusing at times it is in a league of it’s own for uniqueness. There are parts of the show that work well but there are elements when it falls a little bit flat, these are usually areas where the audience are trying to work out what is happening.

I am not sure if it is a show for everyone but it you are willing to jump on board the Harvey Cobb train and delve into his world of peculiar then this is a show you should give a try as it is a lot of fun and something different to anything else you will see this Fringe.
