When you are not a parent and you are asked to review a children’s show it can be quite daunting. However, the great thing about this target audience is that is is incredibly easy to tell if they are enjoying a show. I can honestly say since there was so much participation with the pefomers and with their parents I think it was clear to see this is a great hit with tiny humans. 

The show starts with an introduction to the crowd of parents and young children a brief description of the show and how they should react to if they like something in the show such as a clap or an ooh or an ahh. The audience start the show on the floor so they are ready to participate with the show and interact with it. The stage is low so the children have the option to go on stage if they wish. 

The introduction to Vasthy starts with a video with a fun little song and lots of bubbles fill the room which is joyful and such a lovely way to be Introduced to a show. The children seem to love it and it makes them already feel part of the show. 

There is a great balance of interaction with the children in the audience with songs that are sung about the names of some of the crowd, making them part of the band with instruments and dancing. 

The show has been created by eight-time Broadway performer Vasthy Mompoint and producer Leanna Gadow. You can tell this show has been created by people with a lot of experience as it has high production values even for a show aimed at young children. Lots of great live music and fantastic singing. 

We have to talk about the rest of the team as well as the friends help bring the show to life and create lots of fun characters for children to enjoy and interact with them throughout.

I would say this show is aimed at younger children, such as CBeebies age. It is a show that reminds me of shows such as Playdays from the nineties or Something Special nowadays as it has the same joyous feeling that those shows have and has an uplifting feel whilst also very lightly educating children. I really enjoyed the part where they sung a song in Haitian Creole, Spanish and visited India teaching the children some very simple terms in the languages.

I think it is always important to mention the parents as well as children in these sort of reviews and they looked to be having just as much fun. There was big smiles on some of the faces as it was evident that they were loving how much their children were enjoying the show. 

If you have small children I would say that this show is something you should definitely take them to see at the Fringe. The team are incredibly talented and create a world that allows all toddlers and grown ups to have a really fun hour.
