Sometimes at the Fringe you come across a show that already creates impact as soon as the lights hit the stage – Amelia Hamilton is one of those hours that as soon as the colours of the lamps hit the stage and the low male voice introduction is then interrupted by the comic, you know that you are in for a treat.

This show has a vivacious attitude right from the start – welcoming the audience with stories that have a feminist angle and talking about ex partners that really throws you into the crux of this show. When people say feminism it can put people off a show but this is actually written incredibly well it also makes males in the audience feel a sense of balance and even in the interactions with the men in the audience there is a positive reaction and a lot of fun on both sides. The whole show loosely follows the idea of that the dating world these days is like the wild west and delves into many different topics in relation to this subject.

The highlight of the show that elevates this comedy sixty minutes is the musical comedy raps that are intertwined into the show. Everything from ex-boyfriends clothes, death clothes and much more. It brings the punchlines of the jokes to life eve more and creates a lot of hilarity. There are big laughs throughout. It also shows the level of talent and creativity Amelia has.

This show define what a good Fringe show should be – energetic, hilarious, unexpected and a fun filled hour.
