There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe is a wonderful time in the Scottish Capital, it brings the whole city to life and creates the whole different world. It creates a vibrancy in the city as well. Today we look at a photograph that I took at the event years ago.

The Gilded Balloon is a huge venue at the fringe and it is really popular venue. I took this photograph just as the sun was starting to go down – hence the reason the lights are on and the sign is lit up.

I really like this photograph as it is vibrant and highlights the building really well. I really adore the bright colours of the pink and the green and it really reels you into the picture. I feel that the angle of the photograph is a bold statement as it is slightly risen if created the height of the drama.
