Over the next few weeks we are chatting to acts that are performing at the festival and finding all about their show and what they would call this years iconic Camden Fringe Pigeon! Today we find out about the show I’m a Philosopher! Why the F**** am I Here?

Tell us a little bit about your style of show? 

It’s an interactive, lip-sync musical comedy pastiche of reality TV! What’s not to like? And the best thing is that the audience gets to decide who stays, who goes, who plays, and who eats using live voting – the play is never the same twice.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

I want to see my friend’s musical – ‘Murder on the Allotment’ (she hasn’t completed her application yet – but it will be on at the Cockpit).

How are rehearsals going? 

Just started – but they are great fun – especially practicing the lip-syncing.

What is the best thing about performing at the Camden fringe?

Forget Edinburgh – London is the worldwide home of pub and fringe theatre. 

London can be an expensive place to perform in – what key advice would you give to performers that is a sort of life hack?

Be nice to the hard working people at the myriad pub theatres and fringe venues in London and you may bag a bit of free rehearsal space.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

For our show – it would have to be Jean-Jacque Rousseau – I’m sure he’d love to see himself of stage.

The iconic image of the Camden Fringe is the Pigeon – if you could call this years pigeon a name to represent its style what would it be and why? 

Flutter …. because the Camden Fringe is all about taking a chance on something, and about moving around and alighting on something new.
