Over the next few weeks we are chatting to acts that are performing at the festival and finding all about their show and what they would call this years iconic Camden Fringe Pigeon! Tell us a little bit about your style of show? 

We’re a one-woman show all about fake news and its origins in a mysterious former Socialist nation called Macedonia. It’s fun, flashy and filled with secret stories on a topic impacting us all!

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe? 

Caroline McEvoy is a great stand-up from Northern Ireland who’ll be premiering new material for Camden. Her debut last year, Train Man, was scintillating and I’m excited to see what she has in store next.

How are rehearsals going? 

Great, we do a mix of normal rehearsals, fun workshops and small performances for friends and designers to help make sure we’re getting input from as varied a group as possible and honing the show for the many audience members we hope to host soon.

What is the best thing about performing at the Camden fringe? 

Being part of a Fringe Festival in the heart of London. Fringe is where the most exciting work is being done artistically so to take part of one in Britain’s biggest city is as exciting for our own work as it is being able to see so much of everyone else’s.

London can be an expensive place to perform in – what key advice would you give to performers that is a sort of life hack? 

Know people with a couch free for crashing on. Failing that, band together with your fellow performers as artists usually have tricks up their sleeves ready to share.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member? 

Probably one of the original innovators of the Macedonian fake news hustle. Wonder if they’d agree with our exaggerated take or have even more exciting tales to share!

The iconic image of the Camden Fringe is the Pigeon – if you could call this years pigeon a name to represent its style what would it be and why? 

Steve, it looks like a Steve.
