It is festival season and that means that in the next month there is so many great comedy festivals to look forward to! This month we are looking at some of the great shows that you can see at the Edinburgh Fringe. So take note because we are going to give you all the information you need for just a handful of some of the great shows happening this year!

Tennish is my second show and I’m so excited to share it with folks.
I wanted to put myself into a world or an environment that was instantly recognisable so that I had a place to play and break the rules and bend the expectations of what happens there.
I chose the world of tennis.
The clown / me in the show wanted to be a rock star but was forced to be a tennis player by over bearing parents. Their whole world comes crumbling down at the biggest moment of their career and they have to rebuild themselves and find their true self.
But thats the arty ramble, basically I had loads of silly cartoons play in my mind about the world of tennis and I wanted to make them come true, so here we are.
If your unaware of my work, im a silent comedian, which means I make people laugh without saying a word.
The shows I make are immersive and the audience regularly gets involved if they so choose.
I love making lighthearted work thats about joy and silliness and just having a laugh basically.
There is a recognisable character from out of the box in the show, and they go on a journey too.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
I really try to see as much as possible, I always love seeing shows that are in a similar vein to mine, I love clowns. Especially Furiozo, Tape Face and Elf Lyons.
Im a huge comedy fan and I love watching brand new mixed bill shows and my favs like, Morgan Rees, Marcel Lucount and I always try to see a telly name once too.
I also love to watch the tattoo, my dad was in the navy so its very nostalgic and I juts love the sound of bagpipes on that scale!
I came from a street art background so I always love seeing the shows on the royal mile, as there’s always new faces and some incredible shows too see and I always make sure ive got £20 in cash in my pocket for my favourite busker.
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
Yes i’ve done the fringe in many guises over many years. I think i’ve been going for about 12 years, i’ve done large scale circus shows, Built shows on the street, Done mixed bill stand up shows with the free fringe and last year was my first year doing my own solo show with underbelly.
My advise is just do it! Find a way! I used to camp or stay in a caravan out of town so I could afford it. Pack lunches are always a great idea. Be nice and ask questions and be curious, there are so many incredible teachers up there just waiting to give you some nuggets of advise.
And sleep! Sleep is so important! Im a big fan of an afternoon nap at the fringe.
Some of the most important show in my career have been the tough ones, they help you build a resilience and determination that you just can’t get anywhere else.
I had a real epiphany last year, that I just love doing shows and performing, so Edinburgh really feels like home.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
I get up at 7am, have smoothie and a shower.
Go for a walk into town, get to the venue, warm up, do some flying, do show 1.
Exit flyer my show for show 2.
Eat my packed lunch.
Go home nap.
Wake up have dinner,
Go to venue, warm up flyer, do show 2,
Exit flyer for show 1,
Catch a show, chat.
Sleep repeat x 30.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
I always forget its name but there’s a banging French restaurant down past princess street.
And im a real sucker for the pizza slice stalls.
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
Its genuinely the best arts festival ive ever been to, everyone is there! Every genre and some you can’t even imagine existed.
I love getting to do the thing I love the most multiple times a day for a whole month!
And ive got to say the people, friendships made in Edinburgh last forever.
Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?
My Pillows, sleep mask, duck shaped nightlight.
What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?
Packed lunches, Travel cards, Bikes, Camping, Bring your own bottle for water.
