Hello! Tell us all about your show!

Boy In A Box was conceived during the COVID Epidemic when, during the Trump Administration, it was announced that “America is NOT a racist country “… Yeah right! Through the mind and lecture of a cancelled history professor, we begin at the formation of the United States and end where we are today…. Where we all feel boxed in, silenced and with each passing day, more and more afraid.

If this is your first time – what are you looking forward to?

I’m from Los Angeles and my whole life I’ve heard about EdFringe, so I have no idea what I’m about to embark on – terrified and excited. And HONORED.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

Not sure… the piece is VERY intense, I hope to survive 23 performances in 25 days. Beyond that and all the shows to see I can’t wait to explore the city too! So a mix for sure of living in the EdFringe world and some (shhh) sightseeing!

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

Honestly it was an incredible honour to be invited to perform at the Gilded Balloon, which was my first choice. The words of BOY are very important to me, my way of trying to make a difference… through ART.

Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?

Wireless speakers for the flat, lots of different clothes (I hear you get all 4 seasons in one day), and maybe some fancy candles!

What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?

I have none! Don’t look at my credit card statements.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

All social is listed under @BoyInABoxEdFringe

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Must fight back
