It is festival season and that means that in the next month there is so many great comedy festivals to look forward to! This month we are looking at some of the great shows that you can see at the Edinburgh Fringe. So take note because we are going to give you all the information you need for just a handful of some of the great shows happening this year!

Hello! What a pleasure to see you! Lady of the Lakes is a procession of fantasy-inspired freaks. It’s me playing a series of medieval-ish misfits, each competing for the glory of Excalibur sword, all to the dulcet tones of the common bone flute. Think Lord of the Rings meets WWE. King Arthur on beta blockers. It’s mythical, it’s surreal, it’s not written down.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
I’m so gassed to see Rosalie Minnitt’s Clementine sequel (dir. by Tristan Robinson), Hamish Lloyd Barnes’ ghostly debut, as well as the return of sketch legends, Metroland, and everyone’s darling, Chris Cantrill! Up the North, plus everyone I live with ❤ If you’re not loyal, you’re worth nothing!!
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
I was so lucky to do student sketch comedy (a brand new sentence for the world). I absolutely loved being at the fringe for 3 years running with a group of mates, it was truly the best.
1) I’d recommend the Plan My Fringe app with all my heart (not spon)! It’s literally so amazing. I use it every time I go up as a punter (language)!
2) Get stuck in with as much as you can handle. Pace yourself and trust your gut! September is for sleeping.
3) When I was a student, comedy legend, Emma Sidi, gave me the advice to go up single, and now I get to pass it onto you! Find love! Kiss at a Jungle night! Have a picnic up Arthur’s Seat! It’s thrilling, it’s for the month, and it’s, crucially, free.
If this is your first time – what are you looking forward to?
It’s my first time debuting and I’m sooo excited to be up and performing every day at my venue. Being in Pleasance Below is a complete dream come true. I’m very grateful to Mr Pleasance! Thank you, Mr Pleasance! Please don’t kick me out, Mr Pleasance!
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
5AM: 10k run. 6AM: Down a banana. 8AM: Gratitude journal. 9AM: Clock in. 11AM: Exit flyer church. 12PM: Midday cracker. 1PM: Clock out, only so I can clock in again. 2PM: Write grovelling thank you note to my agent. 3PM: Stretch vocal chords. 4:20PM: Perform serious theatre show. 5:20PM: Sink shower at Pleasance. 6PM: Midnight snack. 7PM: Prayers. 8PM: Tuck up in queen-sized bed at student accom.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
Soul Vegan! It’s definitely worth the queue. And for gorgeous, local breakfast: Snax Cafe!
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
Not to be wet, but the people are the best bit. As a comedy fan, you get to see literally everyone you love. It’s kind of crazy. I can’t wait to see my mates every day, what a lovely treat.
Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?
I absolutely love wearing fun clothes but I don’t think I’ll have enough room in my suitcase for 30 outfits!
What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?
Two words, singular syllables. Meal! Prep! Don’t you dare buy that £13 macaroni cheese from George Square, I swear to god!!!
