There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Clementine – Mark Owen

Today we are looking at a solo single that was released by a member of Take That back in the late nineties.

On the 3rd February 1997, Mark Owen released his second single from his debut album called Clementine. The album Green Man was released in 1996 and this was the follow up single.

It was written by Mark Owen, produced by Craig Icon and released on the record labels of RCA and BMG.

The single had three B sides – the song Child and then live versions of Are You With Me and I Am What I Am.

The song did well in the charts and went into the top 10 in Estonia (9) Spain (2) Italy (5) Japan (2) Lithuania (4) and Taiwan (10) to name a few. In the UK, it went to number 3 in the UK charts and was one of his highest ranking singles.
