All this month we are celebrating areas around Edinburgh that you could visit as a day trip to have a short break from the hustle and bustle of the Fringe.

Today we are heading to a small village as it is a great place for some fantastic views of the Forth Bridge and you will be really grateful that you took some time out to check it out whilst you are on Edinburgh.

North Queensferry is located in Fife and is a short train or bus ride away from Edinburgh. It is a historic coastal village and was named after King Malcolm III of Scotland’s wife Saint Margaret of Scotland. She established a regular ferry crossing across the Firth of Fourth.

Nowadays it is a fantastic place to visit, you will get some great views and photographs of the bridges and the water. There is lots of places you can walk around and there is also a sea life centre as well.

If you want to break away from the intensity of the Fringe as this place is calming quiet and breathtaking. It is really impressive and it will create some great memories.
