Hello! Tell us all about your show!

It’s standup comedy about the ridiculous world of online shopping, how easy it’s become to waste all your money, and my own (failed) attempts at being a more ethical consumer.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Martin Urbano, Dan Rath, Kate Butch, Sam Eley, Titclown

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

My advice to anyone in life but especially at the Fringe is: get a vitamin B12 shot.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe.

Wake up, check my phone alerts to see if Donald Trump is still alive, get a push notification that says Sephora is having a sale, scroll through hundreds of products that, turns out, are only 5% off, drink instant coffee, shower, have a mild panic attack about what to wear because the weather is so chaotic and I’m over-caffeinated.

Then I’ll go into town to see shows, perform my own, and go out with friends. I’ll get home tipsy and scroll Depop for an hour before remembering it’s probably too difficult to get a sequined crop top delivered to my Edinburgh accommodation. Then I’ll go to sleep and have a nightmare about all my teeth falling out.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

I don’t eat out much during Fringe, but when I do, I want french fries and a boozy vegan milkshake from City Cafe.

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

My screentime goes down, my step count goes up.

Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?

My perfume, Dune by Dior. The ritual of putting it on every day helps ground me. Funnily, I bought this perfume online before I ever even smelled it…just because I liked the bottle and the description appealed to me (I’m very easy to manipulate with good ad copy). Luckily, it turned out to be stunning.

What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?

Meal prep is a cringe answer, but I don’t fear cringe.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

@candacebryan on Instagram

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Silly anticapitalist standup.
